It has been great working with everyone since 2012 here in the area. From events in Houston, to local elections and bond issues, I am proud to see involvement by people in their government. For me, the Liberty Movement was less about 'winning' here and more about allowing some to wake their minds in our community. Question the status quo. Re-think that it just may be possible to handle our own affairs without government intervention in every aspect of our lives. To question that while we may have great ideals as republicans, our action on them has been lazy to say the least. We must remain active, we must remain involved. We must have open discussion in our local party. We must stand up to those who have lost their conservatism. Even if you disagree with your local officials, reach out to them, get to know them. Most are seeking your opinions, and rarely hear them. We must be more than keyboard warriors and couch potatoes yelling at the TV. The above may have not always made me everyone's favorite person, but it did begin a discussion; One that I hope continues locally.
