The Precinct Chairman the face and voice of the Republican Party in your neighborhood. If you take on the role and are pro-active, your Republican values are what will define the party to thousands of people. If you believe in individual liberty and limited, accountable government, then that is the character of the Republican Party where you represent it. You will also have an important vote in party policy and internal elections in your area to change the party from the bottom up.
The job does not carry any heavy obligations. Usually attending a few meetings a year and voting on policy and potentially acting as a representative for candidates running in your area.
In most cases you can run for Precinct Chair at little or no cost and statewide more than 50% of these positions are vacant. If we filled those vacancies we'd change the character of the majority of the party overnight.
To be part of this effort you have to act fast. The simple one-page form to file to be a precinct chair has to be turned in at your county clerk's election office by 5pm on Monday, December 9th. There is no fee to file.
If your precinct already has a Precinct Chair, give them a call, see if they support a better more pro-liberty GOP and if they don't, file and run against them.
But remember, you have to act by 5pm tomorrow so this is your last reminder.
